BRASS BAND LIFE
Kamuli Community brass band music project is very interesting socially and economically very ambitious. The project so far has (140) One hundred forty children and Some of these were refugees and those from the very poor families in the community. We train starting from 5 years of age to 22 years. We assume that by the age of 22years someone is ready to start his or her own life with the education and the music talent he or she can be able to sustain him or herself.
Many children are being brought to the Kamuli community brass band by their parents to join, after appreciating the work being done. There is no entry fee for these children to join the project. the band is there to give free music classes to all the children in the community and help them grow in their music talents.
We do our band practices every evening starting at 5:00PM Monday to Friday and Saturday we start at 11:00am until 7:00pm then on Sunday we attend church nearby for prayers and at 4:00pm we do our band practice.
I categorized these children in to three different categories basing on their musical skills that they have so far learnt and perfected in.
